WATCH: Virat Kohli joins Harbhajan Singh on stage as he croons Punjabi song in old clip

On the day Virat Kohli turned 35, actress Geeta Basra shared an old clip of the Indian cricketer crooning a Punjabi chartbuster at an old social function.

“Happy birthday @imVkohli .. a special video on your special day to show your many other talents .. what a better gift to give yourself than the milestone you have achieved today.. to many more.. have a spectacular year ahead,” Basra tweeted on Sunday.

In the clip, former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh, who is married to Basra, also joins in with Kohli as a plethora of stars stand on the stage with the India batter in awe of his singing ability. This includes current India captain Rohit Sharma, Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh, Nita Ambani, actor Parineeti Chopra and fashion designer Manish Malhotra among others.

On Sunday, the day he turned 35, Kohli scored an unbeaten 101 off 121 balls to help the Indian cricket team post a total of 326 for 5 batting first against second-placed South Africa. The Proteas, who came into the match at the Eden Gardens as a formidable side, then suffered a collapse, getting packed up for 83 runs which handed India a 243-run victory.

Kohli’s century also saw him draw level with his idol Sachin Tendulkar at 49 ODI centuries. Remarkably, while Tendulkar took 451 ODI innings to get to 49 tons, Kohli got there in just his 277th innings (in his 289th match).

Kohli also broke into a jig as the Shah Rukh Khan chartbuster Challeya played on the stadium tannoy in the middle of the match while the Indian team was fielding against South Africa.
