Simone Biles’ Painfully Relatable 4-Word Post-Olympics Resolution

Simone Biles has every reason to celebrate following a victorious reign at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. She’s returned home to the States with four new medals, bringing her total up to 11, and thus, making her the most decorated Olympic gymnast of all time. So ahead of her return home, it was only right that Biles, 27, close out her time in Paris with a party of epic proportions — even if it meant she’d regret it later.

“I’m never drinking again,” Biles said in a post shared to Threads, before returning home from Paris. While we’re not sure what led to this resolution, Biles later shared some highlights from the night before.

In several video clips posted to Biles’ Instagram Story, Biles is seen partying in the clubs of Paris. Friends, fans, and her peers in the realm of athletics carry a sign reading “Gym legend Simone Biles @ L’Arc Paris.” Confetti and ticker tape fill the air, as Biles dances and lip-syncs to hip-hop jams throughout the night. While these are the only moments we see on Biles’ Story — given that she was too busy enjoying the party — it was likely the events of this night that prompted the Threads post.

It’s not clear what exactly Biles drank during her debauched night in Paris, the Thread shared days before her post-Olympic resolution hinted that her spirit of choice is tequila. A bucket of ice in her story stamped with the Dom Pérignon logo also offers an indication.

Since wrapping the Olympics, Biles has received some kind words from Tom Cruise, who said that witnessing Biles dominate in the gymnastics routines was “a true pleasure.” She also appeared to be enjoying some downtime at home from the comfort of her own bed.

And it looks like she’s been enjoying some good food since returning home. Biles shared via Threads that her first meal back in the States came from Stick Talk, a popular hibachi grill in her hometown of Houston.
