Best New Vehicle For Your Lifestyle: Tomorrow Seekers
2025 Rivian R1S – 8.6/10
The second-generation Rivian R1S SUV debuted for the 2025 model year looking nearly identical to the outgoing model but with hundreds of changes beneath the surface to cater to Tomorrow Seekers. All-electric driving range now tops out at 420 miles. It offers the choice of four powertrains ranging from two motors to four and can charge at nearly any charging station, including a Tesla Supercharger. Charging speed has been improved, as has the ease of use of the infotainment touchscreen.
2025 Rivian R1T – 8.5/10
The Rivian R1T pickup, like the SUV, was refreshed for 2025. While Rivian engineers improved the SUV with more off-road manners, the R1T improved on road. Its adaptive cruise control has been updated (the hardware is there for hands-free driving) along with its touchscreen infotainment system that now features new, splashy graphics. Tomorrow Seekers will also appreciate the R1T’s 11 cameras that work to keep passengers safe on and off the road.
2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 – 8.3/10
The bean-shaped Hyundai Ioniq 6 sets nearly everything aside but aerodynamics leading to one the longest all-electric ranges on the market at 361 miles. The car’s futuristic pixelated head and taillights greet Tomorrow Seekers as they near the car, with keyfob or digital key in hand, along with the interior ambient lights. When the roads get curvy, the low Ioniq 6 stays planted for an entertaining driver in any trim level.
2024 Audi Q8 E-Tron – 7.7/10
The Audi E-Tron portfolio has grown to include four versions of the electric, flagship Q8. The 2024 Audi Q8 E-Tron has new aerodynamic wheel options, projection lighting and more range from a battery that’s more efficient and with a bigger usable capacity. Charging power has also been increased so recharging from 10 to 80 percent now takes about 31 minutes on a DC fast charger. Tomorrow Seekers with a Level 2 home charger will get a full battery in about 13 hours.
2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 – 7.6/10
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a great electric vehicle. Tomorrow Seekers have already gone gaga over its retro-modern styling. Its spacious cabin and 800-vole fast charging capability make it a worthy starter battery-electric model. For more adventurous Tomorrow Seekers, the Ioniq 5 N is available, putting the “stuff” drivers love about how gas-powered vehicles handle into an EV form.
2024 Kia EV9 – 7.6/10
The Kia EV9 is about the same size as the three-row Telluride SUV, but due to its electric powertrain, it has more interior space for families and cargo. The EV9 was designed from inception with electrification in mind, hence few compromises were made to the Earth-toned SUV. Around 300 miles of range and the ability to charge quickly should ease the minds of Tomorrow Seekers, and the interior styling and technology are premium quality. Three connected digital screens relay relevant information to drivers.
2025 Porsche Taycan – 7.4/10
The all-electric Porsche Taycan is what the makers of the 911 can do when pressed into electric engineering. In all forms the Taycan is quick and engaging (it comes in either sedan or wagon form, with rear- or all-wheel drive). The most powerful versions rival and best the power outputs and track times of race cars. Porsche freshly updated the Taycan, offering more range and power for the Tomorrow Seeker, along with a faster charging speed (it can recharge from 5 to 80 percent in ideal conditions in about 25 minutes).
2024 Genesis GV60 – 7.4/10
The Genesis GV60 was the company’s first dedicated electric vehicle, coming online with platform-mates Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 as the first luxury EV from the Korean conglomerate. When unattended, the cabin of the GV60 is centered on a crystal ball in the armrest. When a driver gets in, that ball rolls over to reveal the metallic rotary shifter. It’s primed for the Tomorrow Seeker that’s also an eco warrior with seats and armrests made from plant-based leather, and seat covers that feature fabrics made with yarns extracted from recycled PET bottles and fishnets.
2024 Lucid Air – 7.3/10
The first offering from startup Lucid, the Air electric sedan courts Tomorrow Seekers with a stylish and aerodynamic shape, and a luxury cabin devoid of distractions. One digital widescreen stretches from the driver’s side to the center while a lower panel can also be customized to show directions and other information. The cabin is quiet at speed and driver assistance features like DreamDrive Pro take away some of the stresses of commuter traffic.
2025 Lotus Eletre – 7.3/10
The Lotus Eletre is the electric SUV for Tomorrow Seekers who value performance along with innovation and exclusivity. The Eletre combines a lightweight carbon-fiber chassis with an electric drivetrain delivering up to 905 horsepower. Long-range models go more than 300 miles on a full battery and it can recharge from 10-80 percent in about 20 minutes. Inside, The Eletre has three digital screens including one for the passenger while the rest of the cabin is left clean to enable focusing on the road ahead.
