‘I Gasped’: Woman Realizes She’s Made Terrible Mistake Before Spray Tan

The moment a woman realized that she made a terrible mistake after a spray tan has left internet viewers in hysterics.

In a video racking up more than 3 million views, Caroline Waldman (@cwaldman11) can be seen peeling a pimple patch from her forehead. After a short struggle, she manages to get the sticker off and cannot help but laugh; she has a circular white patch right in the middle of her face.

The caption reads that the spray tan was for a very special occasion, her graduation, and she had forgotten about the waterproof sticker.

Clients are usually advised to exfoliate ahead of a spray tan, but Waldman may have forgotten on this occasion. So far, the video has more than 137,000 likes and many comments from shocked users.

“The way I gasped,” posted one user, and another wrote: “HELP.”

Looking on the bright side, a third commented: “At least the pimples gone.”

“I would have had to just leave it [for real],” added a fourth commenter.

Of course, this wasn’t an option for Waldman, who presumably wanted to look her best for the special occasion. Indeed, she was going about it the right way by opting for a pimple patch rather than squeezing it.

The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) advises against this method; squeezing may seem like the quick and easy option, but, in reality, it is the opposite. This method irritates the skin and does more harm than good. Using products like a pimple patch is advised as this can make the skin blemish less noticeable overnight.

The American Chemical Society says that the adhesive stickers are applied directly to pimples to help reduce breakouts. They work by absorbing fluid from the pimple, creating a moist environment that promotes faster healing.

To use the stickers, you must clean and moisturize your face, apply the patch to the pimple, and leave it on overnight, even during showers, as they are waterproof. These patches are designed for one-time use due to their limited capacity to absorb oils and are made from biodegradable materials. While the stickers help pimples heal more quickly, they don’t prevent new pimples from forming.

Spots are often associated with adolescence, but they can impact individuals of all ages. Studies have also found that acne can affect people’s everyday life, as noted by the AAD. Research has revealed that people with the skin condition describe themselves as “unattractive, embarrassed, or self-conscious.”
